The Foundation for Research on Information Technologies in Society (IT'IS) is an independent, nonprofit research organization located in Switzerland, closely associated with the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH) Zurich.
Since its inception in 1999, the Foundation has earned a reputation worldwide for excellence in the following research fields:

IT’IS develops the cloud-based, online-accessible computational o²S²PARC platform to ensure sustainable, reproducible, and FAIR computational modeling in the field of bioelectronic medicine. o²S²PARC allows researchers to create and share with collaborators complex pipelines that can be turned into easy-to-use, web-accessible applications.
Another major focus of IT’IS is non-invasive deep brain stimulation via temporal interference stimulation. IT’IS develops TIP, an interactive modeling pipeline powered by our o²S²PARC technology that supports electrode placement and optimization of targeted neurostimulation protocols with the TIBS-R device of IT’IS partner TI Solutions AG (www.temporalinterference.com).
IT'IS also applies its knowhow and infrastructure to provide customized research solutions to the wireless and medical device industries, to academic and national institutions, as well as to governments and regulatory bodies. Together with its partner organizations Schmid & Partner Engineering (SPEAG), ZMT Zurich MedTech AG (ZMT), TI Solutions AG (TI Solutions), and the Z43 NetZero Foundation, it forms the Zurich43 alliance.
