HISTORY
Established since 1993, ITR Australia have been servicing the information systems needs of our clients from various industries including manufacturing, mining, accountancy, retail and Australian Federal Government.
Founded by Richard Magalad
Richard Magalad is a 30 year veteran of the ICT industry starting his career at the Commonwealth bank where he trained in Oracle, COBOL, IBM mainframes, Unisys and many other enterprise technologies. He was a 10-year IT director from 2010 working at a mining company with gold and diamond projects in Australia, Laos and Canada.
His is currently in a multi-year systems integration project with two large Telcos and several agencies in the Australian Federal Government. He is a hands-on tech with a philosophy to never separate Cyber Security from Information Technology, just as he was trained in highly secure arena in banking and government
He consulted and trained cyber security to SE Asia governments and critical infrastructure enterprises on missions for Dept of Foreign Affairs and Trade and with RMIT University, where he now teaches cyber security to professional students.
Richard recently completed his IRAP course and exam (pending endorsement).
He was an executive committee and secretary at the Victoria ACS until 2022 and the current chairperson of Cloud Branch for the Australian Information Security Association.
Over a decade has passed and we are still focused in this market as we continue to offer best practices services often only founded in the enterprise market.
