We are a grassroots design studio based in Arunachal Pradesh, fostering sustainable livelihoods at the intersection of Craft, Cultural Heritage and Ecology.
We believe traditional craft practices and place based value systems rooted in rural societies hold the answer to several pressing environmental and social issues.
Vision:
Our vision is to build Craft-to-Conservation initiatives linking traditional knowledge, and indigenous livelihoods with ecosystem stewardship —offering a replicable model for sustainable mountain livelihoods and biodiversity stewardship.
Mission:
Our mission is to harness traditional craft as a tool to incentivise community based environmental and cultural conservation. We are working to incentivise the use of yak fibre, and valorise the heritage loin loom weaving to create low carbon, artisanal products that enhance income opportunities for small weavers and herders in West Kameng district of Arunachal Pradesh.
