Hi, I am Meg Hulme! I am a Trainee Solicitor at a top 40 international law firm in the UK. After obtaining average GCSEs, going to a non-Russell Group University, going through four gruesome years of training contract applications, three years of paralegalling and a couple of years mentoring and tutoring a variety of students, I realised I had a lot of experience and perspective to share on the legal industry. My journey to becoming a Trainee Solicitor was hard. I constantly felt alone and that there was no information out there and I truly believe that is why I spent four years trying to get a Training Contract. Because there was no information and because I didn't feel like I could reach out for help, I wasted so much valuable time and effort. Therefore, I want to make sure no one feels the way I did. There is certainly an art to getting this journey right and while mistakes and setbacks are unavoidable, I want to be a person that will help you to never give up and also provide you with hints and tricks to get you there with a few less hiccups.
