What is Product Management? Product Management is typically thought of as the intersection of engineering, business, and design. To learn more, please attend one of our meetings! Mission Statement: Furthering students’ interest in product management as a viable career path through engagement via fall recruitment interview prep, speaker series, and brand development. Career Development Series: -Resume workshops -Interview prep- product design, estimation, strategy, and other typical PM interview questions -How to network and get your foot in the door with recruiters -Personal branding- LinkedIn, personal website, etc. Skills Development: -Workshops with Product Academy to learn firsthand from PMs in the industry -Learn about AGILE/SCRUM, the product life-cycle, product mindset, and more skills that are directly targeted at building your PM toolkit. -Working with clients in the Shoemaker Innovation Center on product development to give members the opportunity to apply PM knowledge, as well as real-world PM exposure Speaker Series: -Showcasing a wide variety of PMs in various industries to evaluate how responsibilities differ cross-company -Hear from PMs in various industries about lessons learned, recruitment tips, and more.
