İstanbul University Genetics Club (İÜGEN), is a student club that acts within İstanbul University Faculty of Science since 2003. Since its establishment, it’s a club that shares scientific knowledge between students, and thus creating a socializing network between them. It also continues to proceed in a line which it accepts duties with the consciousness of an obligation which a scientist has to feel for his people and humanity.
Our club İÜGEN has introduced more than 3000 students and hundreds of professors with each other that are at different stages of their educational lives since it has started its activities in 2003. Especially we’re organizing our 11th Molecular Biology and Genetics Winter School that has been international for last 5 years and has become one of our tradition. Our club, that mainly consist of Molecular Biology and Genetics students, has reached to its success by the joint efforts students that came from different parts of Turkey and has seen education at our faculty.
As our science journal project and congress activities are still ongoing, we’re trying to do our best to make a contribution to science around our university, and even across Turkey.
