Founded in 1680 in Verviers in Belgium, Iwan Simonis® is the leading brand of worsted American pool, carom and pyramid cloth. It is still today the only company in the world who dedicates its whole production to the manufacturing of billiard cloths. Made from the highest quality wools, Simonis® Cloth became over the years the brand of reference in most major tournaments and championships around the world, which in turn made Iwan Simonis their official and exclusive supplier. With a fully-integrated facility dedicated to the manufacture of billiard cloth, Iwan Simonis guarantees the same level of excellence and consistency, from the yarns to the final product. In the early 2000’s, Iwan Simonis billiard cloth was already exported from the production site in Verviers to more than 90 countries, on every continent. In 2012, Iwan Simonis SA merged with Saluc SA, the Belgian manufacturer of the World's leading billiard ball brand Aramith®. In 2016, WSP Textiles Ltd, the British manufacturer of the World's leading woollen Snooker, English and Chinese pool cloth brand Strachan®, joined the Group.
