In 2011, a group of independent Dutch welding technicians established the Foundation: Independent Welding Consultants Register “IWCR”. This to guarantee the quality level of the independent welding technicians by means of a quality mark. Independent Welding Consultants Register is a Dutch foundation of welding technicians who operate at the level of International Welding Engineer. All participants are self-employed welding technicians with industry experience The foundation aims in the field of welding technology: - Maintain a quality mark for independent welding experts. - To follow developments in the field, especially in the field of regulations and to discuss them. - Promote contacts in support of this Benchmarking on the basis of criteria of the foundation. The foundation tries to achieve this goal by: - Publishing a register of independent welding experts who meet the inspection criteria. - Organizing technical meetings. - Maintaining a website of the foundation. - Maintaining good contacts with the Dutch Institute for Welding NIL
