İzmir Institute of Technology UNESCO Chair of Biotechnology and Innovation for Sustainable Development BIRC is a research center established to contribute to the sustainability goals of UNESCO by organizing symposiums, conferences, workshops and various events in the fields of Biotechnology and Innovation, carry out studies aimed at solving both scientific and social problems that we face now foresee in the future, increase awareness of people in these areas. İzmir Yüksek Teknoloji Enstitüsü Sürdürülebilir Kalkınma için Biyoteknoloji ve İnovasyon UNESCO Kürsüsü BİAM; Biyoteknoloji ve İnovasyon alanlarında sempozyumlar, konferansalar, workshoplar ve çeşitli etkinlikler düzenleyerek UNESCO’nun sürdürülebilirlik hedeflerine katkı sağlamak, şu an karşılaştığımız ve gelecekte öngördüğümüz hem bilimsel hem de toplumsal sorunları çözmeye yönelik çalışmalar gerçekleştirmek ve insanları bu alanlarda bilinçlendirmek için kurulmuş bir araştırma merkezidir.
