J&E Sports is in 1993 opgericht door John van Gennip en Ed Korstanje. In de beginjaren was J&E Sports vooral actief in Frankrijk als aanlegbedrijf. Naast het aanleggen van kunstgrasvelden breidde de activiteiten zich steeds verder uit. Zo werden ook onderhoud en landscaping toegevoegd aan het portfolio en werd het bedrijf wereldwijd actief. Sinds 2009 is J&E Sports onderdeel van Antea Group Sport.
