"So I work as a postman, but I was born to make music." Independent recording artist J. Kas hails from the steel city of Sheffield, UK. Growing up in a musical household where rare groove, reggae, soul, house and hip-hop played constantly, the melodic heavy base tones of the urban beat became the spark for the unique blend of musical material the creative artist would produce. A number of opportunities arose from his performance, including support from BBC Radio 1’s Huw Stephen’s (We Run This), BBC Introducing Sheffield Christian Carlisle, BBC Radio 1xtra’s Charlie Sloth and DJ Ace (Hometown, C’mon England), and BBC Music presenter Tony Robinson (Cali Dreaming). His stylish engaging delivery coupled with his modest ‘guy next door’ persona has gained him the reputation as one of the most consistent creatives on the U.K. scene.
