JAB Agri Solutions 🌱 Founder | Amanda Burchmann 🐂 Advocate for the Australian Livestock Industry | Livestock Producer 📍 Simplifying industry compliance & empowering producers 💡 Bridging knowledge gaps between industry bodies & small producers (hobby farmers) My journey began as a young child, droving cattle on the Darling Downs Southeast Qld with my grandparents, to carting livestock with my dad for Fraser’s Livestock Transport to mustering her Santa herd of cattle for their animal husbandry requirements. Now, 27 years later, I am the proud owner of my own cattle, but I have realised that the process is far from straightforward. As a passionate advocate for the Australian Livestock Industry and through extensive industry research, it has become evident that there is a pressing need for simpler processes of industry compliance and regulation for small livestock producers. Many small producers are not declaring the correct information and therefore are not compliant. This is a significant risk to all in the industry and to the small producer (hobby farmer) due lack of record keeping, knowledge and education. To address this, I propose with the support of industry bodies NLIS, eNVD and LPA the launch of the Small Producer Hub using JAB Agri Solutions simplified technology combined with educational components to fill those gaps. The Hub will be a platform where small producers and their employees can go for tools, resources and record keeping strategies and know that they are being compliant via simple processes. Today I am seeking small producers who resonate with the struggle of compliance and regulations of industry to step up and protect the industry and the lively hoods we live and love. Let’s control our livestock market position by being compliant once and for all. I’m positive we can ensure the Australian Livestock Industry remains compliant and capable of producing top-quality livestock for both export and domestic markets at top prices.
