JAN ADHIKAR KENDRA is a community-based organisation dedicated to serving 50,000 families across 106 villages in 11 panchayats in the Chenari block of Rohtas district, Bihar. The organisation was established on March 10, 2010, during the Naxalite movement in the region.
The vision of the organisation is to minimise the inequalities among the societies and foster the sense of equality amongst the individual.
The mission of the organisation is to empower the communities in the rural areas especially women. The organisation believes that empowering the women in the society creates a sense of ownership and pride. It will foster the sense of equality in the society.
