Jan Vikas Sansthan

Jan Vikas Sansthan is a grassroots non-profit organization founded in 1998 by a group of Dalit youth in Jaunpur, Uttar Pradesh. Established to combat caste-based discrimination and systemic injustice, JVS is dedicated to empowering marginalized communities—particularly Dalits and Musahars through initiatives in education, health, Child marriage, livelihoods, and gender justice. Over the years, JVS has evolved from a youth-led awareness group into a comprehensive development organization, impacting over 90,000 lives across Uttar Pradesh. By mobilizing women and youth, the organization fosters community leadership and advocates for social justice, aiming to transform lives and promote inclusive development. Our Mission is to mobilize and build the capacities of rural communities, promoting a people-oriented development process that ensures dignity, equity, and justice for all.
