Kunder, a company secretary by profession, founded Janatha Fish Meal & Oil Products in 1989. It was Mr. K.C. Kunder's compassion towards the fishing community that motivated him to start Janatha Fish Meal and Oil Products. He ensured that fresh catch from the sea was never wasted due to low market demand, and all the surplus fish from the market were bought by Janatha. This provided an additional source of income and encouraged the fishermen to continue their fishing activities. We started our fish meal and oil products business in the small coastal town of Kundapura, Karnataka, and today we have a presence across and beyond India in the Middle East, the SEA, and African nations. We are a conglomerate of ten companies, all operating under the umbrella of Janatha Group. Being a company dependent on the sea and its natural resources, we respect nature, the natural resources of the sea, and those who work in the sea. Certifications like Friend of the Sea, European Commissions, GMP, and ISO stand as testimonials for the same.
