Junior Achievement is the world’s largest organization dedicated to inspiring and educating students on financial literacy, entrepreneurship and work readiness through experiential, hands-on programs.
JA Northern Alberta is a non-profit that has reached over 450,000 students in the last 60 years, providing valuable financial literacy knowledge that changes lives. We partner with the business community, educators and volunteers to help young people dream big, realize their potential and succeed in a global economy.
We offer 6-hour long programs for grades 3–12 in-school, self-directed digital learning opportunities and large-scale student events. Our flagship program is the 18-week afterschool competitive Company Program, in which students build a business while producing, marketing and selling a unique product.
Volunteers bring their unique real world perspectives and experiences to the programming. All our programs are free and have multiple connections with the Alberta Education curriculum.
