Started by two brothers almost 20 years ago, Jensen Gardens has grown from a humble beginning. Self-starters Nathan and Nicholas Jensen both began working in the green industry at minimum wage early in life. Nathan’s first job was at a local Christmas tree farm and Nicholas began working in lawn care, both at the age of 14. They went on to study horticulture and construction management. Their joint business was based out of a small rented space at 61st and O Street in Omaha. Six years later, they had saved enough capital to invest in 22 acres outside of Springfield, just Southwest of Omaha.
To assist in the growing business, the brothers branched out and hired their mother, Sharon Jensen, to help run the office. Today Sharon still serves as Office Manager. She has taken on many additional business-related tasks and has hired three additional office employees, Sue McMahan, Michelle Gillenwater and Brooke LeBeau. Sue was hired as an Office Administrator in 2013 and is responsible for customer service, accounts receivable and payroll. Michelle joined our team in 2016 as an Office Administrator working in customer service, accounts payable and IT.
