Jerom Traders, a private limited company, began its journey by growing ginger with 290 kg of seeds in January 1963. One of the major activities of Jerom Traders is to produce over 15000 x 60 kg of ginger every year and market it in the domestic markets of India. Seeds like Rigodi, Himachal and Mahima are used for cultivation. Jerom Traders does ginger cultivation based on organic manure. On an average, 725 to 1235 bags of ginger are produced per hectare. In studies related to ginger cultivation, ginger produced in India is considered to be at the forefront of quality. Jerom Traders mainly cultivates in Indian states like Kerala, Karnataka and Chhattisgarh. Cultivation starts in February and March. The duration of a crop is 18 to 20 months.
