Importantly using our Jersey Probate service the Executors need not attend the Jersey probate registry, also known as the Public Registry, personally. A UK Grant of Probate cannot be used to deal with assets based in the Channel Island of Jersey because surprisingly Jersey does not fall into the same Court jurisdiction, if you have a UK Grant of Probate this does however simplify the process as generally a fast track probate application can be submitted. If you do not have a sealed Grant of Representation then we can still assist, we will need to know who the beneficiaries are under intestacy in the country of domicile. Remembering that the Island of Jersey treats certain assets differently, they are determined as movable and immovable items.
