Jerusalem Vineyard Wineries is one of the fastest growing wineries in Israel, producing premium quality wines from the heart of Jerusalem. The winery was established in the old City at the beginning of the 20th century, and since 1976 it has been operating from its current location in north Jerusalem. In the last decade, The winery underwent an extensive upgrade in the cellar and the vineyards, using modern, state-of-the-art equipment and methods, creating high end quality wines that continue to receive awards and recognition, locally and internationally. Today, the winery produces approximately 3 million bottles annually and is considered one of the largest and leading wineries in Israel, and its overseas market is constantly expanding. Jerusalem Wineries is the only winery operating in Israel's capital today. The Winery’s tasting room is located in one of the most important sites in the center of Jerusalem, Montefiore Windmill in Mishkenot Sha’ananim, overlooking the Old City Walls. The tasting room is an original, exciting and historical venue. Its notable location in the heart of Jerusalem portrays the story of the windmill and the winery and connects it to the present. The Windmill Tasting Room offers a unique visitors’ experience; a profound historical encounter of Jerusalem combined with some quality Jerusalem wines.
