JG16 is the philanthropic arm of Jared Goff, the 3x Pro Bowler and current quarterback of the Detroit Lions. JG16 was re-launched in 2020 during covid as an apparel brand that serves as a philanthropic vehicle used to raised dollars for the community where Goff plays football. Goff, through JG16, has built STEAM Labs and reading centers at schools in need off support, as well as provided backpacks to students, mask during covid for the families in the community, sleeping bags to those experiencing homelessness across America, a mobile food pantry for the Detroit community, and meals to local food pantries across America.
Since the beginning of 2022, JG16 has been partnered with the FATE program at Merit in Detroit. The students at Merit work with Jared to design the products, and then JG16 produces and sells the apparel. Goff matches every sale, dollar for dollar (ie. $30 shirt = $60 donated) and 100% of the purchase goes to the FATE scholarship fund.
In 2022, Goff, through JG16, donated college scholarships to over 30 students at the FATE program.
