At JH May Models and Prototypes we specialise in designing and creating an array of models, sculptures and bespoke pieces utilising traditional and cutting edge technologies. With over 70 years in the model making industry we have experience in creating projects for all realms of industry, and pride ourselves on a high standard of communication during the creative and manufacturing process.
Working closely with our sister company Thompson Precision, we use a range of creative methods to manufacture projects in-house; these include 5-axis CNC milling, 3D printing, laser scanning and cutting to create anything from shop window displays to art installations.
With an impressive list of clients using us for mass producing 3D printed items or bespoke engineering projects thought to be unachievable, we have a consistent success rate with short term projects and can attribute our many years of success to utilising modern technologies. The speed at which we deliver these projects and the quality of the finished item comes from our use of rapid prototyping technologies and cutting edge machining techniques, as well as our experience with finishing processes. Starting from a 3D CAD design we can create items in a wide range of material depending on a client's needs, and minimise the cost and manufacturing time thanks to digital technologies at our factory.
