Who does not like Ghar ka Khana (home made food) delivered at home? I am sure you, me and all of us would like to enjoy a meal to get a feeling of ‘ghar-ka-khana’. Jikoni was founded to bring into your table the taste of ‘ghar-ka-khana’ every week. We have realized that the specialty of Awadhi and Bengali Cuisine in Western India is not often offered by popular restaurants and hotels in the vicinity. However the craze for Awadhi and Bengali cuisines is on high demand. Secondly, due to the Pandemic people do not prefer to go out to have lunch and dinner because of safety issues, but they prefer to have their favourite foods to be delivered at their door steps every week. Jikoni, a Swahili name meaning ‘kitchen’ had been formed to meet the gaps and offer the pleasure in your palate. All our dishes are carefully chosen to meet your demand to meet the craving for the delights and pleasure. All our spices are hand-picked and sourced locally. We create a story to every cuisine we make which carries the history and depth of the lineage. All the foods are prepared with utmost care keeping in mind hygienic and healthy measures.We do not use any artificial colour and chemicals. In all of our packaging we use natural elements such as earthen ware, jute, banana leaf, bamboo baskets, etc. sourcing locally from bamboo artisans and kumbhars and other small business owners to support the eco systems. We have founded Jikoni in October 2020 in Pune and later on added Mumbai city within two months from the inception. We would like to offer Jikoni foods in all metro cities in India by 2022 and go international by 2024.
