Jiménez, Graffam & Lausell was founded in 1968 as an admiralty and maritime law firm. For more than 50 years we have continued to diversify and develop strong and lasting attorney-client relationships within Puerto Rico, the Caribbean, the United States, Central and South America, Europe, and Japan. The Firm opened as an admiralty and maritime specialist. Over 50 years it expanded and diversified its areas of practice. We are currently recognized in fields such as complex litigation, labor and employment, medical malpractice, insurance defense, transportation, commercial distributorship, personal injury, alternate dispute resolution, construction, corporate and business consulting. We have ample experience in products liability, government regulated markets, environmental law, copyright, trademark and antitrust. Every day we appear before local and federal courts at all levels, in arbitration and mediation proceedings, and before many different administrative agencies. We work together in an efficient team environment. Three basic principles guide us: integrity, excellence, and dedication. We offer a broad range of backgrounds, education and expertise: merchant mariners, a former Navy officer, charter boat captain, civil engineer, certified public accountant, law school instructors and former judicial clerks at the Puerto Rico Supreme Court, U.S. Court of Appeals and Federal District Court.
