Das Julius Kühn-Institut (JKI) ist das Bundesforschungsinstitut für Kulturpflanzen in Deutschland. Unsere Dreh- und Angelpunkt ist die Kulturpflanze. Wir forschen mit unseren 18 Fachinstituten und rund 1300 Mitarbeiterinnen und Mitarbeitern an neun Standorten im Bereich Pflanzenschutz und -zucht, Pflanzenbau und Agrarökologie. Auf Grundlage dieser Forschungsergebnisse nehmen wir unsere behördlichen Aufgaben wahr und geben Empfehlungen für die Bundespolitik ab. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- The Julius Kühn-Institut (JKI) is the Federal Research Institute for Cultivated Plants in Germany. Our pivotal point is the crop plant. Within our 18 institutes we conduct research at nine german locations in the field of plant protection and breeding, crop production and agroecology with the support of almost 1300 people. Based on these research results, we carry out our regulatory tasks and make recommendations for federal policy.
