JKPDCL - Jammu and Kashmir Power Development Corporation Limited, previously JKSPDC, a Government of J&K enterprise, was incorporated as a Private Limited company on 16th February 1995. The Corporation has the mandate to takeover, execute, complete, operate and maintain all power stations and power projects in the erstwhile State of Jammu & Kashmir. Power Development in Jammu and Kashmir has a long and distinguished history. 9MW Mohra Hydro-electric Plant, among the first of its kind in the subcontinent, was developed as early as 1905. The Corporation presently has hydroelectric projects with aggregate installed capacity of over 1210 MW located across J&K and Ladakh, including 900 MW Baglihar HEP. The Corporation also has Gas Turbines based on HSD with installed capacity of 175 MW at Pampore near Srinagar. The Corporation has an annual turnover of over US$ 150 Million.
