The Department of Design and Innovation (DDI) at Jamia Millia Islamia was introduced in 2021 with a vision to be a leading design education hub focused on human-centred innovation.
The department currently offers M.Des and PhD programs
Located in the heart of New Delhi, DDI aims to nurture creative minds who can transform lives through ethical and inclusive design. We offer a Master of Design program with specializations in UX Design, Product Design, Industrial Design, Communication Design, and Service Design.
Our dynamic faculty has rich industry and research experience across design domains. They empower students with design skills and mindsets to craft innovative solutions to real-world problems. Students undergo intensive studio-based projects, get industry exposure through live projects, and gain global perspectives through workshops and collaborations.
Beyond the classroom, DDI is a space for design inspiration, dialogue and experimentation. Through conferences, exhibitions and public outreach, we engage with the design community to exchange ideas and shape the future.
