Joint Maritime Information Center

The Joint Maritime Information Center (JMIC) connects commercial shipping with the navies of the Combined Maritime Forces in the Middle East Region. Staffed by naval officers specializing in Naval Cooperation And Guidance of Shipping (NCAGS) and Maritime Trade Operations (MTO), JMIC provides a conduit for cooperation between civilian and military seafarers JMIC fuses open-source information from multiple sources to produce timely, reliable and authoritative information products to help shipping companies assess risk for prudent planning and decision making. JMIC listens to the commercial maritime industry and conveys its insights, issues and concerns to naval operational planners and commanders. JMIC: civilian and military cooperation to help keep seafarers safe at sea.
