About Us The College of Business Student Diversity Council (COB SDC) at James Madison University is a student-led organization dedicated to fostering diversity, inclusion, and understanding within the College of Business. Our mission is to promote the value of diversity in today's business world and create opportunities for students to thrive in a global, multicultural environment. Our Purpose At COB SDC, we believe diversity goes beyond race and ethnicity—it encompasses all aspects that make individuals unique, including perspectives, experiences, and ideas. We aim to: Raise awareness about the importance of diversity in modern business. Encourage meaningful conversations around cultural issues and diversity of thought. Provide professional development opportunities to prepare students for success in a diverse world. What We Do Through a variety of events and initiatives, we: Host workshops, panels, and networking opportunities to connect students and alumni. Create an inclusive space for dialogue and learning. Engage with the broader community to promote service and outreach. Join Us COB SDC welcomes all JMU students passionate about creating a more inclusive future.
