About Us Joan Walker was founded in 2010 by Joanna and Daniel. With a strong performing background based in traditional Chinese performance arts since 1987, the company boasts a ready team of lads and lasses, many of whom had started young with professional training in lion and dragon dance and Chinese drums. As the performing arts scene evolved and public entertainment parties grew in popularity, party organisers created new ideas to meet clients’ taste for sophisticated acts. Joan Walker branched out quickly to meet this demand for street and venue performances, innovating with traditional styles, characters and methods. Today, Joan Walker is a brand name and ambassador for professional public entertainment and makes appearances in many high profile events organised by the big names in town. The performers have graced the opening of many businesses and shops and supported grassroots organisations like many Community Centres/Clubs (CC), Residents' Committee (RC) and shopping malls to embrace heartland events.
