Joey's Song

Joey’s Song is a charity our family started in 2010 shortly after Joey, our son and brother, died after battling epilepsy his entire life. Our mission is to raise money for the “next family” that has to fight this terrible disease. We are 100% volunteer, with no paid staff, and have raised over $950,000 since 2010 to help support research to find more effective treatments and hopefully one day, a cure for seizure disorders. Our annual benefit concert is our main fundraising vehicle. Each year, multi-platinum recording artist and 3-time Grammy winner Butch Vig brings his band of musical vagabonds (The Know-It-All Boyfriends, aka KIAB) to put on a one-of-a-kind concert. Over the years our performers have included Jewel, Brian Ray (guitarist in Paul McCartney’s band), Miguel Cervantes (lead in the Chicago production of Hamilton), Sam Llanas ( of the BoDeans) and many others.
