The Johar Society has been active with its "Asha Vihar" project in the state of Jharkhand in north-eastern India for 27 years.
The focus is on humanitarian aid and holistic medical care for the people in Jharkhand.
We run a REHAB center for children and adults with neurological and orthopedic disabilities and with this we are doing pioneering work in India.
We also run an orphanage with 26 children.
In 2004, the founder Claudia Zechel was awarded the Federal Cross of Merit for her many years of commitment to Asha Vihar.
Asha Vihar is a place of hope.
