John Leavy has an exceptional 35-year track record of leading and managing projects involving portfolio accounting, performance measurement, analytics, data management, CRM, and reporting systems at buy-side and sell-side companies. John has led change in financial services companies' back and middle offices. He has managed performance and attribution, portfolio accounting, and data management implementation projects with various systems, including Eagle, SS&C, and Confluence platforms – leveraging his deep understanding of upstream and downstream systems and processes. John has led numerous large-scale technology projects and conversions, including building an entire back and middle office infrastructure for an online trust and wealth management enterprise. During the Wrap Fee boom, John headed operations of the Investment Management division at a leading broker-dealer, where he led his group through several implementations, upgrades, and conversions. John was the Director of Operations at a leading software solutions company serving the Investment/Wealth Management industry. John’s client engagements include large asset owners, asset managers, Registered Investment Advisors (RIAs), broker dealers, hedge funds, and insurance companies. In addition to his broad investment services industry experience, John previously held FINRA Series 7, 8, 24, 63, and 65 licenses. In 2023, John faced the challenging choice of launching his own practice. John Leavy Consulting emerged with the backing of family and business connections. Thanks to the name recognition he gained from numerous clients and professional relationships throughout his career, John Leavy Consulting has already assisted several clients with software implementations, workflow enhancements, organizational assessments, and process improvements.
