About: The Joint Advanced Warfighting School (JAWS) is the U.S. Department of Defense's elite educational institution for developing Joint Warfighters. As a war college within the National Defense University, JAWS prepares U.S. and international military officers and U.S. Government civilians to serve in strategic leadership positions and lead the development of theater strategies, campaigns, and operations for the employment of joint forces in support of strategic objectives and policy goals.
Our Curriculum grants a Master of Science in Joint Campaign Planning and Strategy and Joint Professional Military Education – Phase II (JPME-II).
By law, all U.S. Military JAWS graduates will go on to serve in Joint Duty Assignments, usually as Combatant Command or Sub-Unified Command J5 and J3/5 Senior Planners.
