Left unchecked, in 2030 that talent shortage could result in about $8.5 trillion in unrealized annual revenues. In Africa, with a median age of 19.7 years old, there are around 15 million people entering the job market every year and only 3 million formal jobs per year are created.
The unfulfilled potential of the knowledge workforce is a design problem. We designed an alternative, mobile-first, identity format that enables talents to highlight their unique value and skillset.
The Future of Work is about cultivating a specialized and multidisciplinar skillset, often transferable, and reliant on measurable accomplishments and community validation.
JOKKO App is designed for the behavior of freelancers, entrepreneurs, and entry-level knowledge professionals where one's skills are their currency and collaboration is their way forward.
As a pilot product, we are working with educational partners across key African regions where unemployment and the accessibility to opportunities needs to be supercharged. JOKKO App becomes an employability tool (CV builder) to identify oneself based on specific keywords, so talent can become visible to the labour market in their own uniqueness, without having to put fancy job titles or hourly rates for their services.
With your JOKKO profile you can share your JOKKO CV (using a link, a PDF or using a summarized picture in social media) to apply to jobs or create your own jobs.
