JonsBones .inc is a New York City-based brand centered around destigmatizing a stigmatized industry. Our goal is to provide osteology remains in a clean, professional, and responsibly sourced manner. Through professional photography and an osteologist, we are able to provide the most accurate and though information for our clients. Our goal is to educate and expand the industry to make osteology accessible to all. We work to bridge the gap between the anthropology community and the public in order to make the subject matter more approachable. Through our representative merch, bones, and day to day products, we strive to welcome all into the osteology community. When our founder, Jon Ferry, first entered the field, he noticed something rather alarming about the industry. Outside of the anthropology community, this industry is often associated with the goth, dark, taboo concept of death. The concept of studying skeletal remains seems to be one exclusive to those in labs or historical professions, but JonsBones strives to make this information accessible to all. Rather than feeding into the voodoo stigma that can often hang over the bone industry, Jon worked hard to dust off the cobwebs to give these pieces their second life. Bones are sought after and collected for a variety of manners. From educational purposes to artistic references, there is a variety of reasoning for each of our clients. Here at JonsBones, we recognize that not everyone has the same access to museums, medical collections, and artifacts that explain and cultivate the science behind bones.
