With the new JPS R5500 saw unit, we have turned traditional concepts on their head. By re-evaluating from the ground up, we have challenged and improved former technologies in several ways. Instead of squeezing the saw motor to the max, which leads to reduced efficiency and high heat generation, we have lowered the RPM’s to half and increased the torque by using a 32/34/40cc motor.
With a lower rotational speed and less heat generation, the energy produced by the hydraulic system is more efficient. And instead of being lost in heat generation, a larger part of that energy is now used to drive the saw unit. Measurements have shown that the JPS R5500 can reduce fuel consumption during the sawing cycle of harvesting a tree by up to 15%. The fuel savings means that your investment will be recovered within one year.
