JumpStart Skill Foundation

JumpStart Skill Foundation was incorporated in June 2014 & registered as a Section 8 not-for-profit company. “JumpStart Skill Foundation is a 360-degree platform encompassing women empowerment in avenues of Skill Development, Employment, Education & creation of Women Entrepreneurs through the various verticals we conduct in-house. In 2020, Jumpstart also opened its door to male candidates for tailor-made skill development programs, focusing on creating employment opportunities. Our Vision is to ‘empower’ & ‘inspire’ the less economically privileged through affordable education and skill development thus, creating economic sustainability and independence, while ‘transforming’ lives. Our four verticals – 1. ‘Project Skill Smart’ focuses on sustainable development & livelihood enhancement amongst females. The aim of this program is to make them ‘Job Ready’ & achieve economic independence through suitable employment opportunities post-training. Students are taken on multiple field trips to gain & enhance practical knowledge. 2. Project UpSkill program is to provide a short intensive training program for male youths who are currently unemployed & are seeking employment. These youths will be placed in employment through the Jumpstart Placement Cell. 3. JumpStart Scholars is an education-based initiative. Through JumpStart Scholar we will be enabling a group of worthy female students from lower-income backgrounds to continue with their formal education by providing them with financial assistance through the course of their graduation or post-graduation. 4. To encourage balanced growth in the country, there is a need for women entrepreneurs. Through Project Seed, we will be enabling women from lower-income backgrounds to either start their own businesses or expand their existing ones by providing them with microcredit finance. (WIP)
