Jumpstart Committee

The Jumpstart Committee, is an initiative of the Tower Club - Tyson's Corner, and was created in 2019 by Dr. Melvin Murphy, a professor at Northern Virginia Community College. The Committee is devoted to helping mitigate the professional challenges that college students may face entering the business world. The Jumpstart Committee provides a safe, nurturing place for business driven college students to grow their professional acumen and network. The Committee offers workshops, professional and career development opportunities, networking events, mentor introductions and internship introductions directly from the seasoned members of the Tower Club. The goal is for every member of Jumpstart (JP's) to leverage our network, resources and build an eco-system so that by the end of their third year, they are well established in their chosen career path.
