Through our experiences of our version of having nothing, we have found everything. Through a lack of resources, we have found an abundance of skills. Being without guidance, we have become leaders who create our own rules. Through being rejected, we strive for standards unachievable. Through our awareness of our ignorance, we have become life long lovers of learning. In not being able to find work, we have become the business. In not having a voice, we have become experts at telling stories. In never fitting in, we have become outliers. We have become the answer to our challenges. For those who grow stronger as the battle wearies on. For those who seek to make the most impossible connections. For those who find solace on the outskirts and aren’t ashamed to stand out.
