We envision a world where the media reflects the true stories of those directly impacted by justice issues. Our goal is to ensure that young Black and brown voices are not just heard, but are leading the conversation.
Our Approach:
Fellowships: We empower young writers, especially from Black and brown communities, with training and support to publish impactful stories. Our fellows are not just writers; they're changemakers who bring their lived experiences to the forefront of media.
Editorial Partnerships: As a co-publisher, we collaborate with newsrooms to develop and place stories that matter. Our work ranges from local investigations to national narratives, all with a focus on cultural commentary and justice organizing.
Media Support: We're building a network of frontline organizations and journalists through training, editorial support, and events like our Southern Justice Media Training series. It's about creating a community that can collectively push for change.
