In collaboration with the Prince George's County Police Department Financial Crimes Unit and State's Attorney's Office, the Maryland Justice For Fraud Victims (JFV) Project offers University of Maryland, College Park students a unique volunteering opportunity to work as analysts with Prince George’s County to investigate instances of financial fraud against members of vulnerable populations in the Maryland and D.C. areas.
Students work under the guidance of Professor Samuel Handwerger, CPA, to provide free support to victims of financial fraud in instances where forensic investigative services are too costly and in assistance to the Maryland Assistant State's Attorney's office.
