As well as having natural UV protection, jute grows without the use of fertilizers and pesticides. Not only is it completely biodegradable, but it is also a recyclable fibre. Jute reaches maturity quickly, between 4-6 months, making it an incredibly efficient source of renewable material, and therefore "sustainable"
This made it the ideal choice for us at Jute.Like.That to use this golden fibre to handcraft our fabulous & sustainably fashionable bags which will turn heads & lead people to ask you "where did you get a bag like that?" only for you to say from Jute.Like.That!
Our atelier is based in Kolkata, India where our highly skilled artisans who share the same values, passion & vision as us, handcraft each product with the same love, care & attention as the other. We use traditional looms to weave the jute thus giving our fabrics & products that authentic, raw & natural outcome adding to the beauty & grace to our products!
