JV Inkai LLP

Joint Venture Inkai LLP founded in 1996 conducts exploration, development, mining, processing, export and sales of uranium obtained using in situ leaching from Inkai deposit located in Turkistan region, Kazakhstan. The shareholders of the joint venture are Cameco Corporation (40%) and NAC Kazatomprom JSC (60%). Being the joint venture of two leading uranium industry companies we strive for overall and sustainable development, similar to that of our shareholders, thus voluntarily agree on social-oriented behavior in all aspects of our activities. We are committed to our mission of ‘active participation in supplies of source materials for clean nuclear energy fuel’ with a vision of developing to be a leader in the global uranium mining industry. Inkai was recognized as the best socially responsible enterprise in Turkistan region, Kazakhstan, winning Grand Prix of the ‘Paryz-2022’ contest. We took the first place in the nomination ‘Best Enterprise in the Field of Labor Safety’ and second place in the nomination ‘Best Collective Agreement’ among the large enterprises of Turkestan region. We have released our first Global Reporting Initiatives (GRI) sustainability report for 2020-2021.
