The mission of the Jaxson William Augustus Swank Foundation is to perpetuate Jaxson's loving memory by nurturing selected individuals educationally, emotionally, and socially from preschool through higher education in achieving their greatest potential while developing strong moral character as future leaders through our Trilogy of Care.
The JWAS Foundation currently serves twenty-four Jaxson Scholars that attend nine private schools in Indiana.
Jaxson William Augustus Swank (JWAS) was a beautiful little boy that was taken from his family just short of his second birthday due to a tragic accident. Jaxson's parents, Larry & Sherry Swank, co-founded JWAS to honor Jaxson's extraordinary legacy for years to come.
Our JWAS families attend at least 75% of our annual leadership programming. They are actively engaged in their child's learning progress and are sound moral examples of character while serving our community at large.
Applications open each September. We typically accept up to four Jaxson Scholars each year.
