Kagin's Inc. is a California-based coin firm that specializes in rare U.S. coins, paper money, private issues from the California Gold Rush, and other unusual and rarely-encountered numismatic items. The company was thrust into the national spotlight in 2014 after it announced the discovery of an amazing hoard of 19th-century United States gold coins that was buried for more than a century on a private residence in California's gold region. Kagin’s, Inc. is the nation’s oldest family owned numismatic auction house. We have produced over 300 auctions since 1940 which have included over 98% of all U.S. coins listed in the Red Book and over 99% of all paper money listed in Friedman's. It is with pleasure that I announce our participation in the ANA World Money Show in March, 2017 in Orlando, FL. as the Official Auctioneer! As we are re-introduced back into the Auction World, I am honored to lead us into this old AND new venture as Kagin's new Auction Director. As the Auction Director, and close assistant to Don Kagin himself, I will be implementing our new initiatives into the Numismatic world. Not only will I help our Kagin's team drive in historic consignments, but I will be developing the entire auction divisions operations and logistics. Auction operations to include duties such as: budgeting, show scheduling, security, consignments, marketing, advertising, catalog production, photography, cataloging, proofing, editing, event planning, traveling, staff scheduling, press & media releases, catering, running the live auction as well as the online auction, invoicing, shipping, payments, conclude/ settle and balance the end of the auction, etc.
