Kaima is a company that aims to solve the global problem of the very long supply chains of agricultural raw material.
The immediate effect of these long supply chains is that the farmer is always being rewarded with too less and the customer is always paying too much.
In the middle, there are many "stations" - harvesting, dehydration, grinding, sieving, sorting and 100 other possible processes – which can all be put under the title of "the industrial phase" and that are all done by several different manufacturers. Each of these manufacturers is obviously increasing the product's cost, but at the same time, unintentionally, decreasing the supply chain's flexibility.
Not only this, the distance – both physical and virtual - created between the farmer and the customer also eliminates the direct communication which could have created a situation where the customer could have gotten a product not only for a lower cost and a higher quality, but also a product that exactly matches his specific needs.
This global problem could have been solved if only the farmer would have become his own industrialist processor, shortening the supply chain to 2 links only: himself, and the customer.
Farmers like that are almost impossible to find, as the farmers never built an industry, never managed the farming-industry relations, never had to deal with global safety standards and certification and never handled global logistics.
And even if all this was settled – the farmer wouldn't have any acquaintance with the market and the market's specific and direct needs, and wouldn’t have known how and to whom he should offer it.
