In Hawaiian, Kaimana means ‘strength of the ocean.’ Here in Maui, we experience the ocean’s immense power, amazing biodiversity, and incredible fragility first-hand.
Here at Kaimana, we believe that only when you love something, will you be motivated to protect it. We started our educational social media platforms to bring people along on amazing ocean adventures, to raise awareness about ocean conservation from a scientific perspective, and inspire others to ‘make waves’ in their own lives.
We use a variety of social media methods to reach a global audience, and dive into topics like native Hawaiian wildlife, marine biology, coral reef ecology, ocean conservation, and ways to protect the ocean right at home.
