KAISAHAN is a non-government organization based in Quezon City, Philippines, that has been committed to facilitating agrarian reform implementation and sustainable rural development since 1990. The organization, through its various programs, empowers marginalized groups in rural areas to promote a sustainable and humane society.
Our organization operates in both national and local levels providing services for the following areas:
(1) land tenure improvement and support services, in which we work closely with agrarian reform beneficiaries, the Department of Agrarian Reform, and other government agencies in Negros Occidental and Leyte to provide support in the implementation of the agrarian reform law — from land coverage and acquisition to beneficiaries development; and
(2) policy advocacy and legal affairs, where in we practice alternative lawyering and deal with land reform issues at the national level through drafting and lobbying bills at the Senate and the House of Representatives.
