Kalimah’s mission is to create a nurturing and inclusive space where Muslim women can freely express themselves through writing. We aim to break barriers and challenge stereotypes by showcasing the diverse talents, experiences and viewpoints of our community. Our goal is to build a supportive environment that encourages artistic and personal growth, celebrates our unique identities and builds bridges of understanding both within and beyond the Muslim community. Kalimah is committed to being a beacon of empowerment, creativity and positive change, shining a light on the untold stories and unexplored talents of Muslim women. While Kalimah is an unapologetically Muslim space, we also accept submissions from women of other marginalised communities, as long as they adhere to our guidelines, which can be found at www.kalimah.uk/how-to-submit.
